Travel directions:      From Ayr head south on the A77 through Maybole, Girvan, and Ballantrae. As you approach the sea (Loch Ryan) there is a small road to the right  which takes you to Finnarts Bay.

Underwater directions: Enter the water and head straight out and dive along the boulder slope max depth 15m then sandy bottom. 

Site Hazards:   large waves that reach the shore approximately 30 minutes after a ferry has passed
