Suggested experience: Novice upwards. This is an Ideal site for a first dive, shallow, plenty to see and very safe.
Travel directions: Google Follow the B3070 through West Lulworth.
Parking directions: Car park is at the top of the road and is £5 per day. Google The Road down to the Cove is only accessible before 10am and after 6pm to drop kit off.
Distance from Bournmouth: 28 miles 50 mins Lulworth Cove and West Lulworth are sign posted from the A352 Dorchester - Wareham road. Follow the B3070 through West Lulworth.

Site entry/exit: Easy entry just walk info the water from the stony beach.
Underwater directions: As its a sheltered cove dive anywhere, the sea weed here comes in every colour of the rainbow and the small life on the sea weed make a macro photographers dream. There is a constant back and forward movement in the water due to being in a cove which can make for tricky photography. Take a compass and when you finish the dive head north or north west.
Site Hazards: Boats and jet skis, use an SMB. Don't leave the protection of cove as the currents will pull you down the coast.

Other comments: This is a very shallow dive so a 10 litre cylinder is plenty for diving here. The seabed is covered in seaweed and is good for photography. In John Howland's book "Treasure from British Waters" it mentions fifteen gold coins found in Lulworth Cove. Toilets are near to the carpark
