Wreck Information: The Beagle built by Tod McGregor in Partick Glasgow is 454gt Launched 1864 she was involved in a collision with the steamer Napoli off the Gt Cumbrae in 1865 at skate Point, Great Cumbrae and sunk quickly in Nov1865 orientation: Approx. 170/350. Her anchor can be found on the seabed just of the bow on the starboard side.     Video

Harbour / slip: RIBs can be launched from the nearby marina at Inverkip. You can also hire a mooring to save on launching and retrieving your boat every day. Contact Tel. 01475 521 485 or look them up on the web at: Inverkip marina.. Or you can launch at no cost and a five-minute 5 km boat ride from the RNLI slip at Largs.

Other comments:  Deep dark wreck with an open hull, like a rowing boat. The superstructure and the wooden decking have fallen into the holds. There is a winch on the bow. At the stern there is emergency steering gear and the propeller and rudder.". (see pictures below)
