Travel directions: Castle Sween is fairly easy to get to, just head up past Inveraray and Furnace on Loch Fyne, about 25 km past Furnace you will arrive at Lochgilphead, continue through Lochgilphead and just as you are leaving the town, take the Oban (A816) road on your right. After 3 km at Cairnbaan take the B841 on your left it is signposted “Crinan”. The road runs alongside the canal and after 5 km turn left onto the B8025 (just after Bellanoch). Follow this for 1.5 km and there is a single track road on your left, it is signposted Achnamarra and Castle sween. Follow this road, it's single track for about 16 km and you’ll see Castle Sween caravan site on the right.
Parking directions: Small road at top of beach

Site entry/exit: Easy walk down a white sand beach.


Underwater directions: Head straight out from the wooden tables at the top of the beach for 120m till at 12-14m you hit the reef and turn right. The reef is paralell to the shore so head along one side and back along the other.
