Wreck Information : The first divers on the wreck were Shane Wasik, Ross Coventry and Stevie Adams. She was a steamer that was stopped and sunk by the German submarine UB 22 on February 7, 1917. The steamer was on a voyage from MacDuff for Sunderland and in ballast when sunk. No lives were lost in the sinking. UB 22 also torpedoed and sank another steamer the same day, the Shakespear.

Other comments: The bow and stern areas remain intact, but the midships area have collapsed into the hold(s). The bridge and accommodation areas have also collapsed, all the bridge fittings (helm, telegraph and binnacle) were observed in the wreckage. The boiler and engine appear to be intact and stand 6m high, the least depth (47m) being in this area. The stern is upright with both the propeller and the rudder remaining visible. The bow leans to port, a scour pit 1m deep being visible.
