Wreck Information : We found her this year. She's in 97m, but the highest part of her is in 83m. She is upright and intact - a fantastic ship, I think the second largest (after the RMS Remuera) to be sunk on the east coast of Scotland

Other comments: The Port Denison (3, as there were two previous, smaller ships of the same name) was built in 1918 by Workman, Clark & Co. at Belfast with a tonnage of 8,191grt, a length of 500ft 6in, a beam of 60ft 5in and a service speed of 14 knots. She also belongs to the same line as the smaller Port Napier which caught fire and sank off the Kyle of Lochalsh. She was sunk on 26/9/40 when attacked by german aircraft
