Wreck Information: In WW1 the Duke of Albany was taken over by the Royal Navy and used as an armed boarding vessel around the Orkney Islands. On the morning of the 26th of August 1916 while in escort with the Duke of Clarence she was torpedoed by UB 27 aft of the engine room on the Port side and sank in seven minutes.
