Wreck Information: There is a permanent shot to the river garry which is fixed just behind the boilers (they are big and stand a good 3/4m tall) so are the first thing you see at about 15m on the descent. Watch out for lobbie pot lines which are strung our across the wreck. These can be a little confusing as the line crosses the shot line and could lead divers away from the wreck in low viz. She sank in 1881 and was carrying 1650 tons of household coal.

Other comments: This wreck is spread over a large area and structures can be seen on the echo sounder a considerable distance away. The main structure lies in a bowl-shaped depression on a flat rock and gravel seabed. There are piles of plating behind the engine, with a length of prop shaft disappearing beneath the plate; large holes/gaps in this plating expose voids which have sections of pipe and fittings intact. There are still large sections of pipe work; some brass and copper and lengths of steel pipe are to be found in the jumble behind and around the engine. The boiler is intact with some fire bars still inside; there is some corrosion on the casing and large boiler plates lying at the forward end.
