Type of Dive: Sgeir lag Choan is a group of small Islands with a rock boulder slope on the Northside of Loch Etive

Travel directions: Follow the A82 to Crianlarich, then take the A85 to Oban. Before you get to Oban, cross the bridge at Connel, turn right at Ledaig heading along the shore road on the north of Loch Etive to Bonawe. Head along the dirt track road with the blue sign that says Breedon Bonawe quarry, for 1.3 miles
Parking directions: There is room for 2-3 cars at the water's edge but be careful of a rising tide.

Site entry/exit: Enter the water to the south of Sgeir lag Choan and surface swim (15 min swim)
Underwater directions: Drop down at the south of the Islands and head south-east down a steep rock slope with large boulders and drop-offs. The steep rock slope runs NE to SW This area is very good for sponges which seem to cover the rocks.
Site Hazards: There are old mussel lines here which you could get tangled in and the long surface swim.
